Yoga

Yoga is an ancient discipline that provides a physical, mental and spiritual workout. By coming to the mat repeatedly, the practitioner gets to know the physical body and the personality intimately and the circumstances that are affecting both at any given time. Empowered with this knowledge and guidance from a teacher, the practitioner becomes stronger in body and steadier in mind, prepared for everything that life has to offer.

Meditation

Meditation refers to a broad variety of practices that include techniques to promote relaxation, develop compassion and forgiveness for the self and others, and encourage disassociation from the ever-changing story of the mind, therefore creating sustainable well-being rather than well-being being dependent on outside circumstances.

Breathwork

Breathwork is an umbrella term for various practices that bring the breath under conscious control in order to influence the mental, emotional and physical state. It is now a widely recognised therapeutic practice by both complimentary and allopathic medical practitioners.

Self-Enquiry

From time to time it’s helpful to reflect on the major aspects of our lives and to take stock of the various areas that are important for our well-being. The National Wellness Institute recognises six dimensions of personal wellness: social, intellectual, emotional, spiritual, occupational and physical. Spiritual fitness exercises allow for an individual to assess what beliefs are shaping our current experience.

Bodywork and Reiki

Bodywork is a term used in alternative medicine to describe any therapeutic technique that involves working with the human body. In addition, bodywork techniques aim to assess or improve posture, promote awareness of the body-mind connection or to manipulate the energy field surrounding the human body.
